Fading Revelations

A huge, fun & balanced content extension. Please note that the Serpulo research tree has been moved into it's own tree because it was too large. To get to the Fading Revelations Serpulo research tree, please switch to it the same way you would switch between the Erekir and Serpulo research trees. On that menu, a new button will be available that takes you to the Fading Revelations Serpulo research tree. Features Two new planets and many blocks, units, items, liquids, schematics & ammo types. v2.3 - Choppers and Tanks | v2.3-Choppers_and_Tanks


This update adds two new unit trees to Serpulo!

  • Helicopter tree: Semi-fragile heli units with good offensive capabilities!

  • Tank unit tree: Tanks that look pretty much like the Erekir tanks but with different weapons. Good against buildings, weaker against units.

v2.2 - The unit update | v2.2


The unit system has been completely overhauled!

Changes in this update include:

  • Mothership factory has been removed

  • Heavy factory has been removed

  • King and Tentacle have been removed

  • Added a new way to obtain Motherships:

  • Added the Primary Factory, producing tier 1 units

  • Added the Basic, Advanced and Progressive Reassembly Chambers to upgrade units

Added lots of units to create full unit trees!

  • Each unit tree consists of 4 units
  • Unit Trees added (NOTE: Some of these units were part of the mod before this update and have been moved into a unit tree!):
  • Flying Assault: Areus, Alopex, Kestrel, Orbital Platform Strahl
  • Flying Assault: Apis, Procer, Ducalis, HIVE
  • Flying Support: Seed, Sprout, Sapling, Corax
  • Naval Support: Alba, Arvens, Aestiva, Altaic
  • Naval Assault: Mela, Cromis, Arnux, Japonica
  • Ground Specialist: Annax, Scofra, Auratus, Lycosid

I am not giving further information on what these units do nor what they look like; try them out for yourself!

Added German translations for every bit of new content added in this update. - The Spanish, Ukrainian and Russian translations will be added soon!

Moved around some things in the research tree and added new gates.

Color-coded the unit's names according to the vanilla spriting rules:

  • Core units: Yellow names
  • Assault units: Orange names
  • Specialist units: Purple names
  • Support units: Green names

Overhauled and improved many sprites, including adding moving parts to some turrets.

Added a Build Tower to Serpulo.

Animated the living steel texture to give it an effect similar to a "beating heart".

Added missing sprites for certain status effects.

Added new status effects: Polymorphous Building, Construction Shock, EMP.

Added a cerberian anti-air turret for mapmaking.

Various balance changes and bug fixes.

v2.0 - The Erekir Update | v2.0


Added lots of content for Erekir, including units and blocks.

Fixed the trading / gold system, giving it a well deserved and big nerf.

Fixed some other things here and there, also including some resprites (more are on the way)

A lot of cleaning up has happened in this update:

  • Fixed sprites, making them more desaturated, tweaking the color palette and even re-spriting entire sprites!

  • Added lore to some of the units, the rest of the lore will happen in v1.11 - The lore update

  • Fixed material requirements display (e.g. surge alloy was shown before copper when selecting a block)

  • Added a tonne of custom schematics for you to try!

  • Re-structured the ENTIRE repository, putting things in folders to make it easier to find what you need

  • Deleted unnecessary files to make the mod lighter, also removed "environments" and "packages" from the github sidebar as they were redundant.

  • New logo (Pull request #26)

  • New editorconfig, formatted manifest, etc. (thanks to ElectronicsArchiver in #23)

  • Balance changes, bug fixes.

TF1, LR1, BF1 | hotfixV.1.09


TF1: 1st part of the texture fixes (tf), second part will contain all of the heresy sprites fixed.

LR1: 1st part of the lore update, adding lore to some units already while 2nd part will contain the rest of the lore.

BF1: Beauty fixed 1, fixing how material requirements are wrongly listed on some blocks (e.g. displaying titanium before copper, etc.). BF1 should have fixed all of those mistakes, if not, there will be a BF2 together with TF2 and LR2 in the next release.

This is a pre-release, the release containing TF2, LR2 and potentially BF2 will be a FULL release and will mark version 1.10 of this mod.

This compress removes not needed sprites and image files to save storage.

Version 1.09 - The hour of despair! | v1.09


In this update, enjoy a completely new map!

Valley of Despair Map:

  • Custom waves that consist of Mindustry Extended units and even the HIVE mothership as the final boss
  • 2 new weathers, fit exactly for this map:
    • Blood Rain: A sticky rain of blood that falls from the sky restless, making it harder to navigate
    • Malicious Winds: Heavy Winds produced by the open area of the valley that pushes you around like you are a piece of paper

The map includes not ONE but TWO enemy spawn areas to the left side, so be careful!

Defeated defenders left two of their turrets at both of the spawn areas! You will find a Mindustry Extended Sniper turret at the top zone and a Mindustry Extended Gattling at the bottom zone, both protected against wind and weather by an old tree.

This version just deletes some old and unused sprite files, making the mod smaller in size.

Version 1.08, The lone outpost update! | v1.08


This update may seem small but it is packed with power!

This update adds the "Outpost" block. A powerful new edition to the people who like to gather resources but don't like to make huge conveyor belts.

The "Outpost" block has the ability to transfer all resources that are inputed into it directly into your main core! You can place an Outpost at the top of the map and the items will remotely appear in your core.

Of course, such power comes at a high resource cost but if you gather a lot of resources, it is definitly worth the price tag!

Enjoy this update! More is always being developed and there are alway bug fixes around the corners! Stay well!

Esta actualización añade el bloque "Outpost". Una nueva y poderosa edición para la gente a la que le gusta reunir recursos pero no le gusta hacer enormes cintas transportadoras.

¡El bloque "Puesto de avanzada" tiene la capacidad de transferir todos los recursos que se introducen en él directamente a tu núcleo principal! Puedes colocar un Outpost en la parte superior del mapa y los artículos aparecerán a distancia en tu núcleo.

Por supuesto, este poder tiene un alto coste de recursos, pero si reúnes muchos recursos, ¡definitivamente vale la pena el precio!

Dieses Update fügt den "Outpost"-Block hinzu. Eine leistungsstarke neue Ausgabe für die Leute, die gerne Ressourcen sammeln, aber keine riesigen Förderbänder bauen möchten.

Der "Outpost"-Block hat die Fähigkeit, alle Ressourcen, die in ihn eingegeben werden, direkt in deinen Hauptkern zu übertragen! Du kannst einen Außenposten am oberen Rand der Karte platzieren und die Gegenstände werden aus der Ferne in deinem Kern erscheinen.

Natürlich hat diese Fähigkeit einen hohen Preis, aber wenndu viele Ressourcen sammelst, ist es der Preis auf jeden Fall wert!

Viel Spaß mit diesem Update! Es wird immer mehr entwickelt und es gibt immer wieder Bugfixes um die Ecke! Gesund bleiben!

Introducing bndls_ versions!

bndls stands for bundles.

A bundle update will add translations of all of the blocks for a specific language.

This bndls update adds translations for german.

21w10a is again: 2021, Week 10, Snapshot a (=1)

I typed every single letter and the whole bundles_de.properties manually. I just realized before finishing that I could have written a JAVA script to do it for me but at that point, I was working on the translations for about 3 hours (I am from germany so the translations were not too hard of course but still, typing a whole .properties file takes time) so please excuse and report typos. I will fix them then.

How it works:

snpsht_21w09a for example stands for: "Snapshot 2021, Week 9". The "a" is just there in case there are multiple snapshots per week. (The second snapshot of a week would then be "b").

The nano infection update | v1.04


This release adds:

  • Nano ammo! It does little damage but infects enemies with nano bots that then in turn burn enemies from the inside for about 130 seconds! (A long time!)

The Drill and Laser update | v.1.03


This release adds:

  • A new drill! It is VERY fast but needs liquid living steel as a coolant and just won't work if it is not supplied with it. Do NOT use an overdrive dome because it will boost the drill to oblivion! (I mean if you can supply it with enough liquid and have like 7 conveyors going out of it you could sustain that speed but even a liquid source from the sandbox mode starts to struggle at that point).

  • A new (kinda new, I already had it in a different but old mod of mine) drone! Shoots with a miniature Lancer and looks super good while doing so! (Yes, got a bit lazy on the sprite. It is just the sprite from the old (pre-v6) example mod but it is just a placeholder so no need to worry).

The Living Steel Update - bug fixes | v1.02(2)


  • Fixed a bug where the game would crash when the carrier flagship had spawned the maximum amount of units
  • Fixed a bug where the Creator Mech was unable to fire
  • Fixed a bug that would destroy blocks when liquid living steel ran over them
  • Fixed a bug that the living steel Infusion chamber would sometimes stop producing
  • Fixed several bugs that would crash the game if played on multiplayer when:
    • A turret shoots
    • Liquid Living Steel was on the floor
  • Fixed a bug that made the living steel walls have only 40 hp
  • Fixed a bug that would make enemies instantly die from an air arc attack

The Living Steel Update | v1.02


The living steel update is back, upgraded and ... bug-free!

This release includes:

  • Living Steel (used as Ammo and for crafting the other variants)
  • Hardened Living Steel (used for: - Living Steel Walls (small&big))
  • Liquid Living Steel (used for boosting mindustry extended turrets
  • Living Steel Infusion Chamber (to make the living steel)
  • Living Steel Hardening Chamber (to make the Hardened living steal (duh))
  • Living Steel Liquifier (to make Liquid Living Steel (duh x2))
  • minor fixes and patches

Non-bugged Living Steel Update | V1.02


Unfortunatly, a lot of the living steel blocks had trouble and were making the game crash. In this release, that is fixed but at the expense of loosing a few cool blocks/items. This release includes:

  • Living Steel
  • Liquid Living Steel
  • Living Steel Infusion Chamber
  • Living Steel Liquifier

This release deletes:

  • Hard Living Steel
  • Living Steel Walls
  • Living Steel Hardening Chamber

I am very sorry that it has to be that way. In case you have no issue with the previous release:

  • I had no issue with it as well but at some point, bugs started occurring and the walls became unusable.
  • If you still have no issue with the release after some time then enjoy using it. I will get out a new release that re-adds Living Steel Walls but unfortunatly not quite as great as they were.

The living steel update - pre-Release | v1.01


This is a pre-Release of the mindustry-extended living steel update!

This pre-release introduces:

  • Living Steel
  • Soft Living Steel
  • Hard Living Steel
  • Living Steel Infusion Chamber
  • Living Steel Hardening Chamber
  • Living Steel Softening Chamber
  • Living Steel Walls - Small and Big (regenerate small amounts of HP slowly)
